EXPERIENCE OF VISITING THE MUSEUM OF BANK NEGARA MALAYSIA & ART GALLERY

The main focus is here! On 5th June 2024, we visited the Bank Negara Malaysia Museum and Art Gallery in Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur for our assignment of PAF3123, advanced accounting course. Let's go through it together to see on how exciting this site-visit went on!😉 Picture 1: Students were going to their respected buses accordingly. We gathered at our faculty building's foyer at 8:00 AM and went there by three different buses at 8:30 AM from Sultan Azlan Shah Campus (KSAS) of Sultan Idris Education University (UPSI) to Kuala Lumpur. The organizer was very welcoming and helpful. They even take care of our welfare by providing food and drink as well as guidance and safety. It took us only an hour and half to arrive at the Museum of Bank Negara Malaysia. On our way to the museum, we enjoyed the time and already gave much expectation on our site-visiting. Now, we are going to learn on the roles of Bank Negara Malaysia👇 As an oversight, Bank Negara Malaysia works to protect the public interest and guarantee the security, dependability, and effectiveness of the infrastructure supporting payment systems. Bank Negara Malaysia develops regulatory frameworks and oversees retail and big value payment systems in its capacity as an overseer. In order to maintain the dependability of the main payment and settlement systems, the supervision efforts concentrate on limiting systemic risks and lowering total systemic risks. By encouraging payment innovations and preserving public trust in retail payment systems and payment instrument usage, Bank Negara Malaysia furthermore promotes advancements in the payment services and market advances . The Bank actively engages in stakeholder and market player consultation and collaboration.

WHAT IS MONEY MADE OF?

Do you ever wonder what is money made of?  Polymer Polymer is a kind of plastic used to make the RM5 note.                      Cotton The paper used to make money is made from 100% cotton. Copper Malaysian 5 to 50 cent coins contain 75% copper.      Ink Special ink that you cannot buy from the shops is used to print bank notes. Nickel Malaysian 5 to 50 cent coins contain 25% nickel. Security Thread A thin thread of aluminium foil with special characteristics is set into the paper as a security measure. Gold Bank Negara Malaysia's commemorative coins contain 22 and 24 carat gold.  Silver Bank Negara Malaysia's commemorative coins are made of 925 silver.
